Reunion 2016 in Shiner, Texas

Family Gathering at Weiners in Shiner.Tyler's antics.Within Tyler's antics slideshow are other images that were embedded in it.  This was a fun day as I set up the iphone 5 to take selfie videos and Tanner hammed it up so we let that be the takeoff video for the day. The group photo was taken with window behind the group that produced too much glare,so this photo was cropped on left to remove the window's light. Whoever chose the group to gather there were oblvious to the extreme light in the background.

Reunion June 2015

Notes on Family Gathering for 2015:

2015 Extended family gathering reservation at 11:30 June 6th at 317 North Avenue, Shiner, TX 77984

(361) 594-2928 -- at Werner's Steakhouse

Werner's has worked out well in past years, reservation had to be changed from second to first Saturday as Werners had no record of request for second Saturday. Last year we had a fantastic presentation on family genealogy. Hopefully we will have a dozen or so attending as we stated we would have 15.

We would like to hear from you if you plan to be there.
We generally drop by Flatonia on return trip home and this year the Lord willing we will take photos of the old Flato home which is just a few blocks from the museum
on 101 E. North Main.

Many of you are aware that my grandfather, W. T. Amsler Sr and his wife Cora are buried on same plot as my grandfather's parents (my great grandfather and grandmother.)

Amslers.com presents a description which reads:
"William Tell, second son of Louis Philip and Sophia (Flato) Amsler, was born 1 July 1880 and died 31 March 1952 in Lavaca County, Texas. He was buried in Flatonia Cemetery. Tell married Cora Elizabeth West, born 25 April 1882; died 1 May 1952 in Lavaca County.)

Their son Phil says that William Tell Amsler was a cattle man and worked in Oklahoma Territory as a youth for Charles Flato who at that time had thousands of head of cattle on open range..."
